IN THE BEGINNING...

...being baptized in water by John, Jesus Christ said, "Thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness" Mt. 3:15, (see Lk 1:6)... then the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus as a dove.
A voice from heaven said, "You are my beloved Son; in You I am well-pleased." Mk. 1:11. As Jesus began His ministry thru baptism and receiving the Holy Spirit, so we do; we get forgiveness also.
