ARAMAIC SCRIPTURES on BAPTISM

~ ~ Luke 7:29 and 30, from the Aramaic New Covenant Scriptures ~ ~

Here is a word-by-word literal translation* of the Aramaic New Covenant Scriptures of Luke 7:29 and 7:30, regarding the baptism from John the baptist.

These verses were at the end of the discourse by Our LORD JESUS CHRIST, as HE+ asked the people:

"What went ye out for to see? ... This is he of whom it is written, behold, I send My messenger before Thy+ Face, which shall prepare Thy+ way before THEE+."

But first, keep in mind :

  the baptism of John was unto repentance only, .... before Our LORD JESUS came.

• 
  
  One had to be baptized into The LORD JESUS CHRIST in order to receive the HOLY SPIRIT.

• 
  
  After the Resurrection of CHRIST JESUS, HE+ commissioned His+ followers to "... disciple all nations, baptizing them into the Name of The FATHER, The SON+ (our LORD JESUS CHRIST), and The HOLY SPIRIT... "

Here, then , is a word by word literal translation of Luke 7:29 and 30 from the Aramaic New Covenant ( Testament ):

" And all the people who heard , even the publicans, they justified GOD, as they had been immersed (into) the washing ( the immersion) of John."

Now, here is the following verse, Luke 7:30:

"But the pharisees and the scribes rejected in themselves the will of GOD because not were they immersed by him ( i.e., John). "

The frightening issue is this:

Even with the baptism of John which was ONLY unto repentance, those righteous men

MISSED THE WILL OF GOD

when they rejected even the baptism offered by John.

So, how much MORE will those be missing the WILL OF GOD...

who reject the baptism

into

CHRIST JESUS our LORD ?

Why do you call me "LORD, LORD"

and do not the things I+ say ?

Luke 6:46

Repent and be baptized,

every one of you,

in the name of JESUS CHRIST

for the remission of sins

and ye shall receive

the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Acts 2:38

NOTHING HAS CHANGED

IN THE NEW COVENANT

since it has been written.
